On May 19th, the British songwriter Lucy Rose released two new songs, of which one is called “Question it all”. Lucy Rose explains that she wanted to give something back in these times, but she did not feel like putting herself on social media. So she decided to release two new songs instead, hoping they would cheer some people up or give them strength.
“Question it all” is a melancholic song with an ease flow, that fits the current situation. So does the music video, which is made of short clips her fans sent her during quarantine, showing their corona activities. Such as home workouts, playing guitar, or binge-watching shows on Netflix.
Lucy Rose released her first LP “Like I Used To” in 2012 on Columbia Records. After the release of her latest album “No Words Left” she established her own label “Real Kind Records” in collaboration with Caroline International and Communion Records. The first album that Real Kind Records will release will be “A small Death” by Samantha Crain on July 10th.

Am 19.05. veröffentlichte die britische Songwriterin Lucy Rose zwei neue Songs, darunter auch die Single „Question It All“. Lucy Rose erzählt, dass sie in diesen Zeiten gerne ihren Teil beitragen wollte, sie sich jedoch nicht danach gefühlt hat, dies im Rahmen eines Livestreams zu machen. So entschied sie sich dafür stattdessen zwei neue Songs zu veröffentlichen, in der Hoffnung vielleicht einigen Menschen auf diese Weise Kraft zu geben.
Die Leichtigkeit und Melancholie von „Question it All“ passen sehr gut in den aktuellen Zeitgeist und so auch das dazugehörige Musikvideo, welches aus kurzen Clips besteht, die ihre Fans ihr zugesandt haben. Zu sehen sind jegliche Quarantäne Aktivitäten, von Sport, über Gitarre spielen bis hin zu Serien gucken ist alles dabei.
Ihr erstes Album „Like I Used To“ veröffentlichte Lucy Rose 2012 bei Columbia Records. Nach dem Release ihres letzten Albums „No Words Left“ gründete sie in Zusammenarbeit mit Caroline International und Communion Records ihr eigenes Label „Real Kind Records“, unter dessen Namen am 10. Juli das neue Album „A Small Death“ von Samantha Crain veröffentlicht wird.
